Looking back briefly

Systematic is best known for being forward-thinking but while celebrating our anniversary we look back at 25 years in software business

Since 19 August 1985 where Systematic was founded by our CEO Michael Holm we have written many million lines of code and developed hundreds of IT solutions.

At that time, 8 MHz PC with dual floppy drive and a hard disk of 5 MB was the ultimate you could find on the market. The word ‘portable’ was not a common word – and the size of PCs did not in fact make it easy to transport them from one place to another. 512 KB of RAM was the largest computer memory ever. The Internet was something still under experiment. Mobile phones were the size of a brick, and computer graphics and images were something from science fiction movies.
