Practical software that works gives the customer a key parameter for gauging project progress
Instead of the traditional ”waterfall method”, in which all the development work is completed before the application as a whole is taken into use, we use the agile method known as ”Scrum”. Using this approach, the development process is divided into smaller pieces that each focus on a limited part of the total functionality. This provides opportunities for greater customer involvement and ongoing adaptation, because analysis and design now take place during the process. In this stepped development model, there is a short start-up phase featuring the initial definition of specifications and system description, followed by deliveries of useful software at short intervals. Practical software that works gives the customer a key parameter for gauging project progress.
This kind of early delivery also strengthens the overall economics of a project by providing the customer with longer to pay.
