Consultancy services for Post Danmark's path to CMMI certification

CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model Integration, and is a globally acknowledged model of excellence for IT development processes. CMMI provides a benchmark for a company’s ability to carry out IT projects in a safe and predictable way, thus ensuring greater customer satisfaction. The CMMI model describes the requirements for good IT development processes, but not how they are to be turned into reality.

Systematic has implemented its own development processes in accordance with this model, and has achieved certification at the highest level – CMMI level 5. On the basis of this experience, Systematic now also provides a range of specialist consultancy services focused on achieving process improvements based on CMMI.

Better IT-based services for Post Danmark

Post Danmark IT is responsible for development and operation of the systems on which the Danish postal services IT-based services are based. Systematic served as consultant advisors when Post Danmark IT introduced a CMMI change project to improve its development processes.  

Based on our own experience, Systematic was able to assist Post Danmark IT in translating the theoretical model at the heart of CMMI into methods that can be used in day-to-day practice. The process began with an evaluation of Post Danmark’s IT projects, and Systematic subsequently contributed to project management within the organisation's CMMI change processes.
