Automated reporting

The data to be reported is retrieved from the information that healthcare professionals have already entered as part of their day-to-day work. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the amount of data that only has to be entered for reporting purposes.

A standard format ensures consistency between the reports. It also makes sure that the data in the patient’s medical record can be recognised by different external systems, including the Danish National Patient Register (LPR) and the Health Data Bank (SDP).

Automatic reporting

Healthcare professionals update the medical records as a natural part of discharging a patient with information about primary diagnoses, treatment, etc. This is essential for subsequent reporting and billing.

Easy to customise reporting

Staff responsible for reporting can customise the information retrieved to met specific reporting requirements. This means the source code does not have to be changed. The administrator can define the receptor system, the data to be reported and the reporting frequency.

Ensuring the correct basic data

The validation system in the Columna Patient Administration module minimises the number of occasions when the data fails to comply with the required reporting format. Any errors that do slip through, and which are reported back in the form of error lists (e.g. from LPR), are imported into Columna’s error list. From here they are automatically distributed to all departments responsible for registering information. This allows users to easily correct these errors, using the patient-focused parts of Columna. Columna then re-processes the reporting of the corrected data.
