Providing input for improved planning

The Booking module for Systematic Columna gathers relevant key figures, which permits optimisation of planning and implementation of the planned schedules, based on actual production data.

The key figures are presented in QlikView. This is a separate analysis tool in which selected users can analyse production data on an ongoing basis, in an easy and intuitive way. This makes it possible to identify points where the department functions both well and poorly in relation to planning and implementation.

Using this background information, it is possible to optimise the setting up or planning of times in the Booking module, or to alter organisational structures or work procedures in the department.

Examples of key figures that can be analysed in QlikView: 

• Change appointments 
• Cancellations
• Arrivals of acute patients 
• Exploitation of operating theatres 
• Duration of specific procedures (theatre times, anaesthetic times, operation times, shift times)

The key figures can be analysed in relation to parameter that include periods, theatres, individual surgeons, etc.
