Where it’s used

Current versions are specifically configured for the most widely used first-generation version of the Lockheed C130 Hercules (C130H) and also the new-generation C130J-30 model. The software can also be ported for use with other transport aircraft, if required.

Built-in modules

Load Planner C130 Hercules software includes the following specialist modules as standard:

  • Load sheet
  • Seat arrangement
  • CNI management unit
  • Conversion program
  • Calculator

Customised cargo

You can simulate the presence of any non-standard, rectangular item of cargo, ranging from 20 x 20 inches to 105 x 255 inches in size. You can use the cursor to move the indicated centre of gravity, as required.

This makes sure it fits into the rest of your calculations for weight and balance distribution.

Load Sheet

The software automatically produces a load sheet with all the weight and balance calculations you need. This includes weight limitations, mission data and a graphical representation of the load plan.

It also generates a set of work instructions for any troop seat arrangement you decide on, including layouts for litter stanchions and seat back support beams.

Load limitations

There are normally a series of technical limitations that have a big influence on how you can load each aircraft. These include:

  • Centre of gravity (CG)
  • Max. takeoff weight
  • Max. landing weight
  • Max. pallet weights
  • Bending moment limitations (current cumulative compartment weight, capacity weight limitations, etc.)
  • Cargo/fuel combinations (weight limitation chart)

Load Planner C130 Hercules software has all this data built in for each specific aircraft type and model. This means you can be sure load plans meet safety requirements and don’t adversely affect aircraft performance.

Weight limitation chart

During load planning, this specialist software continuously calculates the appropriate weight and balance data, so you know what you have to work with for the rest of the load. You can always see an up-to-date load sheet in mini-format on the main screen.

Any limitations exceeded are displayed in red and you see a “limits exceeded” warning list, along with a flashing warning sign.
