Effective data transfer

Where it’s used

SitaWare MIP Replication is designed to perform effective data transfer duties within any national C2 system or set-up. It achieves this in a significantly more effective and secure way than any traditional database replication mechanisms. The software is widely used for exchanging Common Operational Picture (COP) data, including ORBAT and holdings. It is also used for exchanging plans, orders and reports, including task organisation (MIP Baseline 3 only).

Open, generic and extensible

The architecture at the heart of this product works as a distributed system of replication and synchronisation nodes. Numerous special extensions have been built in to achieve this. These include:

• A software API makes it straightforward to integrate with other communication protocols and systems.
• Advanced filtering mechanisms for effective synchronisation that make it possible to define customised throughputs for different parties with different requirements.

Exceptional compliance

SitaWare MIP Replication software ensures effective interoperability and communication between databases that comply with the existing Command and Control Information Exchange Data Model (C2IEDM) MIP standard and the Joint Command, Control and Consultation Information Exchange Data Model (JC3IEDM) now being rolled out.

Baseline 2 and Baseline 3

The new Baseline 3 version of the MIP standard involves such major changes, updates, improvements and restructuring that a completely new software version is currently necessary. This software product is therefore available in separate versions that comply with the C2IEDM (MIP Baseline 2) and/or JC3IEDM (MIP Baseline 3) standards.

Graphical interface

The easy-to-use graphical user interface makes managing, monitoring and configuring the data synchronisation process straightforward. It also simplifies contract management and negotiation with other MIP-enabled systems.
