All Armed Forces have one overall important issue at the top of their agenda when engaging in today’s armed conflicts: Force Protection.

Knowledge on the exact location of your own troops and any coalition troops in your area of operational interest is the key factor in force protection.

Victory in today’s conflicts is partly dependent on the ability to outmanoeuvre enemy forces by providing and receiving information on them faster and with more accuracy than they are able to do on you, so providing a solid basis for making the right decision at the right time. A traditional battle management system simply don't reach that goal.

A modern way of thinking a battle management system

SitaWare Frontline is a breakthrough in how a battle management system is used. It has been developed together with actual military commanders returning from Afghanistan to address real world C2 challenges. It has been specifically designed for commanders operating in tough environments, where a clear operational view with rapid updates of friendly force tracking (FFT) is absolutely essential. Clarity, simplicity and high-performance

Focusing on the essentials and the basics of a battle management system, SitaWare Frontline has an intuitive interface that makes easy to understand and simple to operate, even in physically cramped conditions.

The new system has been developed for use on touch screen devices, and has so far been successfully tested on screens down to 8-inches.

Built with deployment and management in mind

The software has a unique two-part design: a vehicle application and a user application. This enables users to plan and execute missions in both static and mobile environments, easily implement change of location of command and, if necessary, quickly destroy mission data in an emergency.

The separate vehicle application simplifies both the installation and upgrading of the vehicle software which is integrated with existing communications equipment, onboard management systems and sensors.

SitaWare Frontline is a part of the SitaWare Suite of software, which is compliant with the latest standards, making it fully interoperable with other systems, coalition partners and NATO member countries. It works together with SitaWare Headquarters to provide a unified command and control system from the frontline to the highest level of command.
