New releases of SitaWare Headquarters and SitaWare Battle Management
SitaWare 4.9 now released
12 January 2010
Systematic has released important new versions of the company’s SitaWare Headquarters and SitaWare Battle Management software.
The new SitaWare 4.9 release brings a range of significant improvements and updates to both products. Prominent among these is a big step forward in the way the software presents and uses icons and symbols.
Easier to understand key information
New features include differentiated unit symbols, intelligently reduced symbol clutter and easy differentiation between correlated and uncorrelated information, as well as between planned, anticipated and actual positions.
This means users get a faster and more accurate overview of what is taking place in each particular battlespace. This makes for more effective OODA loops (observe, orientate, decide and act) that make it possible to take action faster, based on key decision-making processes.
Even better tactical graphics
The SitaWare 4.9 release is notable for its improved tactical drawing capabilities. Users can also now move, scale and rotate tactical graphics as one object, and it is easier to access the software’s freehand drawing tools.
Precision reporting
Users of SitaWare Headquarters and SitaWare Battle Management software are now able to view and report both the input source and the positional precision of the information in the tactical report.
This then helps improve the accuracy and transparency of even run-of-the-mill reporting procedures, and can be done either manually or automatically.
Web services interface
The addition of a Web services interface to this new release paves the way to important new functionalities for users of C2 systems supplied by Systematic.
The interface links into the core functionality of the SitaWare suite of products. It also provides an interface to SitaWare Track Server, which then acts as a gateway to the C2IEDM MIP world and enables other systems to provide a live representation of the operating scenario.
